The Formidable Dancer - Section A
In this class, students will focus on dance techniques used in musical theatre auditions and productions. Students will learn what directors and choreographers are looking for in auditions, will discuss proper audition attire and etiquette, learn tips on how to pick up combinations quickly and explore different styles of theatre dance. Students will also learn the importance of knowing the characters and the plot line in order to make their dancing an extension of the story. Most importantly they will have a lot of fun!

Homemade "zines" have been around for a long time. These handmade magazines are generally dedicated to a particular subject that sparks the creator's interest. The workshop introduces students to four steps of beat production: digging, sampling, sequencing/mixing, and song arrangement. Students will work hands-on exclusively in FL studio 12, using midi controllers to create a polished song from start to finish.

Intro to Podcasting
In 6 weeks, you and a partner will learn the ins and outs of podcasting and will walk away with your first episode of your very own podcast. 6 week outline: Week 1 - Learn the fundamentals of recording, specifically 2 voices, and the application(s) and hardware needed. Week 2 - Determining the format (style) of podcast. Do you want it skit based? Forum based? Story based? Write an outline. Listen to different types. Scripted or ad-libbed? Week 3 - How to actually record you and your partner and how do you incorporate a guest? Does it need to be broadcasted live? Week 4 - Record and edit podcast. Week 5 - Select services to upload to and how you want to spread the word. How do you make money? Week 6 - Listen through podcasts and give feedback. Post your podcast and spread the word.
