ArtPlay Kids Acting
Actor and Educator Darrell Revel will guide participants through the basics of theatre. Musical Theatre Basics
All the world’s a stage and a stage is meant for dancing and singing. Join Jenn Palmieri from UAB’s Department of Musical Theatre as she shares her talents with our young actors. Capture This!

Intro to Music Production Software
This class offers a glimpse into the world of beat making and provides students with the skills to make beats for a variety of genres such as hip hop, electronic dance music (EDM), and pop. The class introduces students to four steps of beat production: digging, sampling, sequencing/mixing, and song arrangement. Students will work hands-on exclusively in FL Studio 12, using midi controllers to create a polished song from start to finish.

Live and Let’s Dye (A Lesson in Natural Dyes)
In this workshop, we will dye yarn and fabrics with three natural dyes: osage, cochineal, and indigo. Participants will see how each of the dyes is produced, and then will get a chance to use each of the colors. Dye colors can be combined with over-dyeing to produce a rich range of tones. We will also introduce tie-dye and shibori techniques for producing patterns and variations on fabrics and garments. All students will need to bring a clean white t-shirt for dyeing, all other supplies will be provided.

Painting Between the Wines: Pet Portraits
